Welcome to the Ando Group page! We conduct experimental researches on gravity and relativity. In particular, our current goal is to open up a new sub-field in astronomy via gravitational waves. To develop precision measurement techniques required for the future gravitational wave telescopes, we are also conducting research on quantum optomechanics, thermal noise, and vibration isolation techniques. Furthermore, basic research and development for the realization of gravitational wave telescopes in space is also under way.
